Through the Walnut Gardens student accommodation block, our architectural design guidance expertise is exemplified by a diversity of solutions.
The site location provided a range of challenges from the outset. Situated within an existing residential area of Exeter and overlooking the adjacent road and rail transport links, initial detailed environmental impact assessments were undertaken.
Application of our extensive knowledge of acoustic modelling of the site allowed for informed value engineering of the facade constructions, directly affording lower mitigation.
Internally, our innovative application of product knowledge to the structural frame, particularly the separating elements, dimensions and layout constraints of this building, afforded provision of solution development to the internal noise transfer with the design team.
