Elevating Urban Living: Acoustic Design Strategies for a Harmonious Inner-City Haven
The concrete framed accommodation building of Pole Street, Preston, required value engineering solutions to meet acoustic requirements for the floor and wall separating elements. Our extensive consulting experience of gyms was applied to the detailed assessments of the residential gym space as part of the design.
To achieve compliance with set targets of acoustic criterion, initial environmental impact assessments were undertaken, within an inner city area of Preston overlooking nearby transport links of nearby landmark Preston Bus Station main link road Ringway.
Architecture design guidance was given through noise propagation modelling. Experienced knowledge and application of facade mitigation and strong product knowledge of the floor and wall separating elements all met requirements of building Regulations Approved Document E. The ANC Commissioning tests verified the compliance to building regulation criteria.
